Dear 10-year-old Katie,

I’m writing this from the year 2020. I know, it feels a long way off, doesn’t it? 

You’ve just turned 38, and you and your family have just experienced your first (and hopefully last) global pandemic. Lots of people in the world died and it was a scary, confusing and disruptive time for everyone. But don’t worry, you’re OK.

Business tools and apps I use every single workday

As a writer, I work for multiple clients across multiple projects every day. This means I need to make sure I’m organised, communicating well, managing my time and consistently delivering. Why I decided to become a sustainability writer

I’ve always loved writing, so it’s no surprise that the path I’ve taken has eventually led to me running my own copy and content writing business. In fact, the only reason I didn’t do it sooner is because I got to do so much writing in my old job as a bid writer and commercial manager. So it was almost as if the need was being fed, and therefore I didn’t feel the urge to take the plunge. But when I was made redundant from my job in broadcasting after 15 years in the industry, the time felt right. I was going it alone! But why did I decide to become a sustainability writer, rather than just writing for anyone?
